Art Heals Creative Expo Information
Breast cancer continues to claim the lives of thousands of women across our country each year. Though we have made tremendous strides in the last 20 years, we still have much work to do to save more lives. Education, early detection and treatment hold the key to success over breast cancer.
Texas Tech Physicians invites you to participate in a creative expo focusing not only on breast health awareness, but also illustrating how the arts can help patients, families and friends recover from cancer and its aftermath. We feel the arts -- writing, painting, music, pottery, sculpture, jewelry -- all facets -- can create a healing path for those cancer touches.
The Art Heals Creative Expo will be a stop on the First Friday Art Trail in Lubbock on October, 1, 2010. The event will be hosted in the Graffiti Building, directly east of the Louise Underwood Center for Contemporary Art at 501 Ave J., Lubbock, TX.

If you are an artist and you know someone affected by breast cancer, you are eligible to show your work. Entries must be in by September 15, 2010.
