Steven Lee Berk, M.D., is vice president for Medical Affairs; dean, School of Medicine; and interim vice president for the F. Marie Hall Institute for Rural and Community Health at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Berk held the positions of regional dean, professor of medicine, and Mirick-Myers Endowed Chair in Geriatric Medicine of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Amarillo from 1999-2006. He graduated from Boston University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency and infectious disease fellowship at Boston City Hospital.

Everardo Cobos, M.D., Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow TransplantationEverardo Cobos, M.D.

is a tenured professor and associate dean for Oncology Programs at TTUHSC. He is chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplantation and medical director of the Southwest Cancer Treatment and Research Center. A graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso, his medical degree was earned at UTHSC, San Antonio. His residency and fellowship in hematology/oncology was at Letterman Army Medical Center, San Francisco. His fellowship in bone marrow transplantation was done at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Seattle. He came to TTUHSC in 1991.

Randolph Schiffer, M.D.

Randolph Schiffer, M.D., was appointed the Vernon and Elizabeth Haggerton Chair of the Department of Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Science in 1998 and is the director of Alzheimer's Clinical Research and Outreach at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He is neurologist-in-chief and psychiatrist-in-chief, University Medical Center in Lubbock. Dr. Schiffer received his B.A. at Yale University and his medical degree at the University of Michigan. He served as an infantry officer, USMC, from 969 to 1972 and a General Medical Officer for the United States Navy Reserve from 1972 to 1994.

President John C. Baldwin, M.D.John C. Baldwin, M.D.

John C. Baldwin, M.D., is the seventh president of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Previously, he was Professor of Surgery at Harvard University and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Immune Disease Institute (IDI), a long-standing affiliate of Harvard University, and a Senior Consultant at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Prior to his joining IDI in January of 2005, Dr. Baldwin held a Professorship at Dartmouth, where he also served as dean and associate provost for Health Sciences. Following his education in the Texas public school system, he attended Harvard College. Upon his graduation, he was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship. He received his medical training at Stanford University.
