"I have been married for 26 years and I most enjoy my wife's spontaneity and energy. In most marriages one partner is calm and the other is high energy. In our household we are both high energy and sometimes the force fields synchronize and we get into this 'gitter done' mode where we do in one weekend all the projects that have accumulated over months."

"When I was in med school we were driving home from dinner and saw some fabric in a window that would tie together my couch and her chairs so we stopped to buy the fabric for some pillows, then stopped at the paint store and the hardware store and got home around 8 p.m. Some friends came by after a movie around midnight and we had painted the whole apartment, made pillows and put tile in the entryway and bathroom"

"I tried to get away from practicing medicine for a few years and worked for a software company. I ultimately realized I was meant to be a gynecologist when a woman at ACL (Austin City Limits) Music Festival asked me what I did and instead of saying I was into software I told her I was an OB/Gyn. Wow! What an epiphany! I also think women like to talk to me and I like to listen."
