- neovascular glaucoma
Risks and Factors:
The causes of glaucoma are still being researched. Studies have found that some factors increase the risk of developing glaucoma. Look below for further facts:
- African Americans age 40 or over
- Diabetic patients
- Mexican Americans over the age of 60
- anyone else over that age of 60
- genetic factors
Glaucoma Risks:
- high eye pressure
- thinness of the cornea
- abnormal optic nerve anatomy
