Gastroenterology Services

Texas Tech Physicians experts in gastroenterology offer a wide range of screening and care services, including screening for colorectal and other cancers and the assessment and treatment of diseases, including peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s), irritable bowel syndrome, acute and chronic liver disease including hepatitis B and C, alcoholic liver disease, liver cancer, autoimmune hepatitis and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, primary sclerosing cholangitis, and cirrhosis.

The department has state-of-the-art technology to perform procedures such as, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, small bowel video capsule endoscopy (pill camera), esophageal manometry, anorectal manometry, esophageal pH probe testing and liver biopsy. They also offer Bravo wireless pH monitoring Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), Radiofrequency ablation for Barrett's esophagus.
