Rheumatology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of immune mediated, crystal mediated and degenerative diseases of joint, muscles, nerves and internal organs.

Typical diseases include but are not limited to:

• Psoriatic arthritis
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Systemic lupus

Treatments involve efforts to improve biomechanics and diet when appropriate. Medical therapies include traditional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, old and modern immunosuppressive medications as well as the newer "biologics".
