Dr. Bayley

 Dr. Bayley

I am a provisionally-licensed psychologist and a licensed specialist in school psychology. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering, cooking, decorating, and watching my kids do just about anything. In recent years, I have been a stay-at-home mom raising three children and assisting my husband as he operates an architectural design business. Raised in Midland, I have a passion for the people who live in our great city. As I enter a new season of life, I am excited to return to professional work and look forward to serving the youth and families of our community.

Dr. Chapman

Dr. Chapman

Hello, I am Dr. Keely Chapman. I am a born and raised Texas native. I grew up in a suburb of North Dallas and hung around the Dallas area after graduating high school to attend Southern Methodist University (the campus where my maternal grandparents met and fell in love). There, as a free spirit in no hurry to grow up, I discovered psychology. Since then, my passion for psychology, psychiatry and mental health has led me through medical school at TTUHSC in Lubbock and then to my current residency training at TTUHSC of the Permian Basin. I am an animal lover, with a dog and 2 cats. I am an avid crochet-er, a runner, and I love my colleagues at TT Psychiatry.

Dr. Chaudhari

 Dr. Chaudhari

My interest in Psychiatry started when I experienced the profound impact of meditation on my mental health and overall well-being. Helping patients improve their mental health always gives me immense gratification. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the food scene around Midland, socializing, and playing tennis with my colleagues. In the future, I intend to build upon my training with a fellowship in Child and Adolescent psychiatry and work towards preventing depression and anxiety in the population.

Dr. Bobby Jain

Dr. Jain

I enjoy being a psychiatrist and working with people. In addition to keeping busy teaching and mentoring future psychiatrists, I enjoy reading a variety of books. I also find it important to exercise whether it is at the gym or walking outside. Exercise is a good way to relax and helps improve mental health.

Kristi Kincheloe

When I am not at work, I love to spend time with my family, which also includes our 4-legged family members.  I have a therapy dog, named Dixie, who is a Golden Doodle. I have taken her through training, and we visit nursing homes and schools, and she is a big help to my patients on zoom who need a smile. I love gardening, I particularly enjoy growing antique roses, which are great climbers. My favorite color of roses is pink. I also try to stay active and love walking and hiking. My absolute favorite place to hike is Big Bend. My favorite season is Fall because of the cool weather and bright foliage. I love to meet friends and family for coffee dates- even if it is on Zoom.

I love art. In my spare time, I like painting and drawing, which can express my feelings and make me relaxed. I prefer to use the medium with better transparent effect, such as pencil, colored pencil, and watercolor. Coloring is also my favorite hobby. I am a fan of Kerby Rosanes, Joseph Catimbang, and Johanna Basford. Also, I feel deep affection for modern art and fashion design, so you won't be surprised I have been following and watching Project Runway for more than 10 years. In addition to art, I am in love with hip-hop music, Japanese anime, and delicious foods around the world.

Dr. Nabi

Mahamudun Nabi, M.D.

I am a psychiatrist and I love my profession. I have good experience in other areas of medicine which gives me a better understanding of my patient. I like to watch movies and sports in my free time, and my favorite sports are Soccer and Cricket. I love classic cars especially muscle cars from the '60s and early 70s –all of them! When I get a chance I go to car shows, local cars & coffee and also enjoy a long drive with my family. Spending time with my kids is the most fun part of the day. The key is to find ways to relax and enjoy your time.

Dr. Nabi

Dr. Nabi

Hello, I'm Dr. Sharmin Nabi, and I am a psychiatry resident with TTUHSC of the Permian Basin. I was born and raised in Bangladesh. My sensitive nature always attracts people who need help and I have a natural inclination to help others who are going through a tough time. I have provided emotional support and reassurance to my friends without judging them and tried to make them feel valued and important. I chose psychiatry as I am confident in building rapport with my patients. When I develop a connection with my patients, they tend to be much more open and honest when answering questions which helps me understand their situation even better and gives me more opportunities to make a proper diagnosis that directs me to the right course of treatment. I enjoy working with people of emotional need as good mental health can improve life quality, whereas poor mental health may lead people to death. I spend my free time with my husband raising our two beautiful kids. I am either thrilled by their developmental milestone or engaging in my passion for cooking.

Aiswarya Nandakumar, M.D.

Aiswarya Nandakumar, M.D.

The human mind is beautiful and to have an opportunity to learn its intricacies while making a true difference in the lives of our patients and their families is nothing short of a blessing to me. I most enjoy working with kids and I'm excited to be training as a child and adolescent psychiatry fellow at TTUHSC. If you ask me what the best part of training in child psychiatry is I can tell you it's challenging, intellectually stimulating, and brings immense personal satisfaction at the same time. I'm incredibly grateful to have this unique opportunity to work and learn with my wonderful group of colleagues and mentors at Texas Tech. Besides work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and watching travelogues(while making travel plans that rarely materialize), and trying different varieties of cuisines.

Dr. Rila

Dr. Rila Phd

I came here from Dallas to help in an underserved community, and to have a slower pace of life.  When I am not working, I am traveling back to Dallas, or Austin where the grandchildren, oh yeah, and my children, live.  Or to New Mexico, where we have a vacation home because I am an avid skier and snowboarder, steeper the better! I also sew, design costumes and cardboard crafts.  Jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles are my other therapeutic activities.  ‘Work hard, play hard’ is my motto.

When I am not working, I am spending time with my family. I believe it is important and necessary to have a healthy work-life balance. Both my husband and I are mental health therapists and enjoy traveling, going for walks, or playing in the backyard with our son. My special interest is working with children and families. My desire is to help them build a stronger healthier foundation for their families. I have experience working with a wide range of individuals from littles to adults. My favorite type of therapy is play therapy. I believe my work is child’s play.

When I first traveled to the United States, I was thrilled and inspired by the amazing quality of medical training and technologies in the US healthcare system which inspired me to pursue my career in the United States. I am confident that my training at TTUHSC will help me to become a great child and adolescent psychiatrist and I look forward to exploring my hobbies in Texas.

Shristi Shrestha, M.D.

Shristi Shrestha, M.D.

Hello, I am Dr. Shrestha a Psychiatry resident here. I did my medical school in Nepal, psychiatry was not a strong field back there when I was a medical student and people are still reluctant to talk about it due to the social stigma, I feel grateful that I was able to get a lot of experience in Psychiatry in the USA and got to choose it as a profession. I feel very fulfilled to be able to help people at the time of their need. I believe that we are born to experience great many things so why limit to just here and now. Speak your heart out, go places, read books, eat new things, talk to strangers (not for kids), share your story and learn about others… And once a day for 20 minutes, close your eyes and just be… Free, just observe, let go…. I am eager to hear your story now.

Dr. Vora

Dr. Vora

My interest in psychiatry began in medical school in India as I saw myself curious about the complexities of the human mind. This interest was further solidified upon gaining some experience in Psychiatry in the US. The realization that I can contribute to making the lives of those who have mental illness better, drew me to the field in the first place. We are now entering a world where awareness of the importance of mental health has increased and I feel humbled at being allowed to serve the community! I like reading, swimming, practicing yoga, and catching up on the latest TV series in my free time.

Dr. Richard Wix

Richard Wix, M.D.

My soul, joy, happiness and mood are like the Caribbean Sea where I was born and raised. Trained between Venezuela and Germany, the last 5 years of my life working on Psychiatry there. Mental disorders are mostly onset in childhood and adolescence and studies show how early interventions generate a better outcome in patients, therefore I am very so happy for this opportunity that I have as a Fellow in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I like to travel and to know new cultures.

I am a curious cook and explorer in my free time and I enjoy learning new skills including market analysis and playing music.  Above all, my diverse experience, knowledge of human behavior neurobiology and personal qualities have made me a knowledgeable and empathetic clinician.
