Terminology

Telehealth is a collection of means or methods for enhancing health care, public health, and health education delivery and support using telecommunications technologies.

Telemedicine requires a live interaction between both a health professional and patient, , using audio and video communication.

Telephonevisit is a brief “virtual check in” with your practitioner via telephone, where the patient must verbally consent to receive virtual check-in services; visit will be a limited encounter, covering a limited HPI, Review of Systems, and Assessment and Plan.
